About Resolv Liquidity Provider Token
Resolv is an innovative protocol that operates with USR, an overcollateralized stablecoin intrinsically supported by Ether (ETH). The stability of USR is maintained by strategically hedging its collateral reserves and utilizing a tokenized insurance mechanism known as RLP. Users have the option to stake their USR tokens to earn a yield-enhanced variant called stUSR. The minting process for USR involves depositing liquid assets like USDC or USDT, pegged at a 1:1 value. When a user redeems USR, they receive an amount equivalent to their original deposit on a one-to-one basis.
RLP plays a crucial role in this ecosystem, as the ETH portfolio backs USR at a ratio exceeding 100%. The surplus collateral not only supports USR but also serves as the foundation for the Resolv Liquidity Pool (RLP). The standout features of RLP include its design to safeguard USR against market fluctuations and counterparty risks. In return for this protection, RLP holders benefit from a larger share of the profits generated from the collateral pool.
The value of RLP is directly tied to the ETH backing each token, and it can fluctuate based on market conditions. The amount of collateral required for both minting and redeeming RLP tokens is determined by the most current price of ETH, ensuring that the system remains responsive to market dynamics.
